Cultural Value: Feed your mind

In a fit of boredom and frustration I decided to make a little art film. I have this notion that doing creative things is what makes people happy. Perhaps I have my father to thank. When I was a kid he shellacked the carburetor out of his Pontiac Firebird, mounted it on a piece of wood, and placed it on the fireplace. I thought it was so cool. The term pop art was used. Though at such a young age the idea that art could be something other than a painting in a museum in France was a little abstract and hard to wrap my mind around. Did Andy Warhol have anything to do with this? Our modern information drenched society, rampant with alienation, where what is sacred has been supplanted by celebrity, which is achievable by the mundane and affectless, still begs out for genuine experience. I don't think I'll have to live in fear that a latent member of SCUM (Society for Cutting Up Men) will come knocking. It was a half an hour well spent. My writer's block subsided. My frustration ceased. The cats looked on, and now I can see bubbling espresso and get a Pavlovian experience of my coffee whenever I choose. It's called CoffeeCat.
